Tips for A Healthier Hair
- Try not to wash your hair everyday. It will remove the natural oil of your hair. If you have oily type of hair, which is the same as mine, you can wash it everyday with daily use shampoo.
- Use conditioner after you wash your hair. I personally prefer hair mask to hair conditioner. Apply either conditioner or hair mask. Do not apply both for it is such a waste. Leave it for several minutes.
- Apply serum or hair vitamin. It helps your hair to recover from the hair styling.
- Dry your hair with cool-aired hair dryer. Do not wring your hair with the towel. It may cause your hair break and fall out. Avoid using the hot-aired one because your hair may begin to boil if it is too close.
- Comb your wet hair with wide-tooth comb. Keep it in mind that your hair is more fragile when it is wet.
- Eat healthy food. Your hair healthiness is also determined by what you eat. Omega-3 fatty acid, vitamins B-6, B-12, folic acid, and protein are needed to support your hair's health.
- Omega-3 fatty acid: Salmon, tuna, mackerel, and other fatty fish; flax seed oil; walnuts, almonds, and milk.
- Vitamin B-6: bananas, potatoes (both white and sweet) and spinach.
- Vitamin B-12: meat, poultry, fish and dairy products.
- Folic acid: citrus fruits, tomatoes, whole grain and fortified grain products, beans and lentils.
- Proteins: fish, chicken, eggs or soy.
